Unique day stationery ideas

When wedding planning, each detail, from the flowers to the cake, tells a piece of your story. But let’s talk about one of my absolute favourite aspects—personalising your wedding stationery. Trust me, this is where you can truly let your personality shine and make your big day uniquely you. Here are some of my favourite ways to add that personal touch to your wedding stationery.

1. Table names instead of table numbers

Who says tables have to be numbered? Why not name them instead? This is a perfect way to infuse your love story into the decor. Think about the special moments or elements from your journey together. Did you bond over a shared love for something quirky or unique?

  • For instance, I once did table names based on types of pasta for a couple who owned a pasta shop. Imagine sitting at the "Penne" or "Fusilli" table. Deliciously different, right?

  • Another couple who had travelled extensively named their tables after places of significance they visited or lived around Australia. From "Sydney Harbour" to "Great Barrier Reef," each table told a story.

2. Custom messages for each guest

Let’s get personal with your guests. But not so personal that this becomes a really hard task that you dread. Think short, sweet and funny. It’s these little details that make a big impact. Picture this:

  • “Nice dress, Sophie.”

  • “Enjoy the hangover, Jack.”

  • “Bon appetit, Nonna.”

These personalised notes not only make your guests feel special but also add a touch of humour and warmth to your celebration. Plus, it's a great conversation starter!

3. Fun facts sprinkled throughout

Want to keep your guests entertained and informed? Sprinkle some fun facts about your relationship throughout your day stationery. Where did you meet? How did the proposal go down? These tidbits can be printed on the bottom or back of your menus or even on napkins.

  • Did you meet in a coffee shop over a spilt latte?

  • Was the proposal a grand gesture or a quiet, intimate moment?

These snippets of your story will have your guests smiling and talking, making your celebration even more memorable.

So, there you have it! These are just a few of my favourite ways to add a personal touch to your wedding stationery. Remember, it’s your day, and every detail should reflect who you are as a couple. Have fun with it and let your personality shine.
